Jarvis - A character from Gothic, Gothic II and Gothic II: Night of the Raven. He is a mercenary loyal to Lee.
Personality[]
Jarvis is one of the most loyal mercenaries that follow Lee, he admires him and considers him a great Leader. His trust to his boss is limitless, and is ready to trust newcomers only when they prove their loyalty to Lee.
Gothic[]
After being convicted and thrown into penal colony, he decided he wants to join mercenaries. Once he proved his loyalty to Lee he was accepted as a mercenary. He was given the task of guarding the gate leading into the camp. He is being nice to all newcomers. When The Hero talks with him, he tells him about the camp and the rules everyone has to obide. Besides this he does not play any major role.
Gothic II and Gothic II: Night of the Raven[]
Once the magic barrier had fallen, he managed to get out of the colony along with Lee and other mercenaries. He was hired by Onar - the richest landlord. Since Sentenza is now guarding the enterance, Jarvis is temporarily out of a job, so he is spending his time in Thekla's kitchen. He does not like Syilvio gaining more and more power on the farm, so if The Hero wants to join mercenaries, he orders him to beat up 3 of Syilvio's men: Rod, Fester, Raoul, Bullko and Sentenza. After getting the job done, Jarvis votes for the Nameless Hero.
After the game[]
After Nameless Hero left for mainland, Khorinis was attacked by orcs, so Jarvis might have been killed or enslaved by them.
Trivia[]
- In the first game he can not be killed without the use of cheats, even in Chapter VI. This is weird, since Jarvis does not play any major role in the game, and nearly every NPC can be killed in sixth chapter, with few exceptions.
- In Gothic 1 his hair forms a ponytail, but in Gothic 2 his hair is cut short.
